Singji ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Singji mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. What We Collect

• Account info — email, display name, and optional profile details (bio, avatar, music preferences)
• Content you provide — lyrics you paste, annotations you add, bug reports you submit
• Usage data — practice session activity, song progress, library activity
• Anonymous analytics — app usage events and crash reports (no personally identifiable information)
• Audio — microphone is used on-device only for song identification and vocal range detection. We never record, store, or transmit your audio.

2. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on: contract performance (providing the App's features), legitimate interest (analytics to improve the App), consent (optional microphone access), and legal obligation (tax/commercial record keeping).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide the App's core features (text processing, lyrics display, practice tracking)
• Process your subscription
• Improve the App through anonymous analytics and crash reports
• Respond to bug reports you submit

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, payment processing, and AI-powered text processing. These services only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function. No personal identity data is shared with AI services — only lyrics text.

• We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Database access is protected by row-level security — you can only access your own data
• We do not store passwords in plaintext

6. Derived Data

We may process and store results derived from your input to improve performance for all users. This derived data does not contain any user-identifiable information.

7. Data Stored on Your Device

Some data (recent searches, cached preferences) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data. You can also object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at singji.help@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Within the App, you can delete your account (Settings → Delete Account), remove individual songs, and clear recent searches.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside the EEA (e.g., in the United States) by our service providers. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

10. Data Retention

We keep your account and library data until you delete them. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months, and crash reports for 90 days. Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed from our servers.

11. Accuracy Disclaimer

Singji uses AI and algorithmic methods to power certain features. These outputs may contain errors and are provided as a learning aid, not a guarantee of accuracy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

12. Children's Privacy

Singji is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
